Conference announcement: Maastricht University will host the IABS 2025 Conference |
We are excited to announce that Maastricht has been chosen as the host city for the next International Association for Business and Society Conference (IABS), taking place from April 2-6, 2025. IABS is a learned society devoted to research and teaching about the relationships between business, government, and society. The announcement was made by Dr. Abel Diaz Gonzalez from Maastricht University’s School of Business and Economics during the recent IABS conference in Maryland, USA. Maastricht at the forefront of Healthcare conferences |
Maastricht is a renowned hotspot for medical conferences and is committed to sharing its expertise with the international network of medical meeting organizers. Recently, our team members Tom Swaen and Charles Beckers (MECC Maastricht) attended the ICCA Future of Healthcare Meetings event in Zurich to connect with association leaders and to gain valuable insights how to shape the future of healthcare meetings. The next edition of the ICCA Future of Healthcare Meetings will take place in Düsseldorf in October 2025, just one hour away from Maastricht.

Our partner Event Management Group has just won three prestigious Dutch awards for Maastricht venues at MeetingReview. De Groote Sociëteit took 1st place in the category for venues up to 100 guests, while De Tapijn claimed the top spot for venues up to 250 guests. Additionally, Rebelle Maastricht earned 2nd place for venues up to 500 guests.

Maastricht has been renowned as the culinary hotspot of the Netherlands, offering everything from MICHELIN-starred dining to charming local eateries. Hosting the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony during the hospitality fair BBB Maastricht, highlights the city’s vibrant food culture.

Maastricht Convention Bureau celebrates 40 years |
On September 5th, we celebrated our 40th anniversary with 100 guests from government, hospitality, and the scientific community at the stunning Château St. Gerlach. It was truly heartwarming to look back at our journey through the "40 Years MCB" congratulatory video, featuring messages from esteemed clients and partners including Maastricht University, the Brightlands knowledge hubs, MECC Maastricht, the Municipality of Maastricht, and the regional goverment.
